Aberdeen dental practice sold for the first time in 25 years

Mark Palmer & Associates is a predominantly private dental practice established in 1969. It comprises three fully equipped surgeries serving approximately 2,800 patients, and benefits from a well-regarded local reputation. The practice is located on Rubislaw Terrace in the heart of the prestigious West End of Aberdeen, within the professional district of the city.

The practice has been owned by Dr Mark Palmer since 2001, having joined the business as an Associate in 1995. Under his ownership, the practice has undergone extensive refurbishment, benefitting from investment in digital technology and equipment, and transitioning from a predominantly NHS patient base to a greater focus on private dentistry.

Dr Mark Palmer brought Mark Palmer & Associates to market after 25 years of ownership as he transitions towards retirement over the next few years.

Following a confidential sales process with Kevin Strain at Christie & Co, the practice was purchased by first-time buyers, Siobhan and Chris Hewson who intend to rebrand the business as The Terrace Clinic.

I have already invested in new equipment and technology, including a microscope and 3D scanner, to further enhance patient care and the overall patient experience, while ensuring the practice remains the same trusted and familiar place that patients have always known.

It is very much a long-term investment for me, and I look forward to growing the practice steadily over the coming years.”
