The home, which is registered to care for up 50 residents, occupies a 50-bedroom, converted property on Deep Furrow Avenue.
It has been owned by My Care for 21 years, and was brought to market as part of a strategic disposal.
Following a confidential sales process with Rosie Turner at Christie & Co, the home has been purchased by Clarendon Group, which owns two other care homes in Leicestershire. This acquisition marks the group’s move into the Nottinghamshire market.
Abbas Alidina, Director at Clarendon Group, comments, “We were attracted to the home because we could see its long-term potential and appreciated its strong fundamentals - a good location, a committed core staff team, and a building that lends itself well to delivering high-quality care. This acquisition aligns well with the rest of our portfolio, as each of our homes operates under a consistent framework of robust governance, strong management oversight, and investment in staff development. We believe that applying this model here will drive occupancy growth and deliver improved outcomes for residents.
“Our immediate priority is stability and quality. We are focused on supporting the team, engaging positively with regulators and commissioners, and ensuring the home provides safe, person-centred care. We are confident that the home has now turned a corner and look forward to building on this momentum.”
Rosie Turner, Senior Business Agent - Care at Christie & Co, comments, “We are delighted to have completed this sale on behalf of our long-standing client. Following a highly confidential and targeted marketing process, one standout purchaser emerged, and we are pleased to confirm Abdulrasul and Abbas Alidina of Clarendon Group as the proud new owners. This was an exceptionally smooth transaction from start to finish, reflecting both the quality of the business and the professionalism of all parties involved, and we look forward to seeing the home continue to thrive under this new ownership. This successful completion reinforces the continued strength of demand for high-quality care homes in the region, and we are proud to have supported My Care in achieving an excellent outcome.”
Moriah House Care Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
