Prominent event location "Kursalon Hübner" is looking for a new tenant

Vienna. The Kursalon Hübner, built in 1867 in the style of historicism in the heart of Vienna's city centre, is located directly on Vienna ring road and is internationally known as a historic event location and concert hall, as well as a popular photo scene. Now the owner, together with industry specialist Christie & Co, is looking for a new tenant to take over operations from 2025/26. Interested parties have a unique opportunity to implement the reorientation and future design of this Viennese institution.

The Kursalon currently offers about 4,400sqm of usable space on three floors and a mezzanine floor, which is divided into several adjustable and representative event rooms, such as the concert/event hall on the upper floor, with its magnificent stucco ceiling, a reception lobby and outdoor areas. Another highlight of the property is the spacious terrace, which extends to 1,370sqm on the city park side.

In addition to the new lease, a comprehensive renovation of the property is also planned. The owner, Astrid Hübner, comments as follows: “With the planned renovation, we not only want to freshen up the Kursalon technically and structurally, but also expand it by adding spacious areas in the basement by opening it up and adding a terrace to the city park, in order to make it more accessible to external visitors as well. In keeping with the motto 'future meets history', the property will meet modern demands and pave the way for a conceptual reorientation.”

“We are pleased to be able to assist the owner in identifying and selecting a suitable partner for this reorientation. The exciting thing here is that we are open to all conceptual tourism ideas. These can range from gastronomy and event concepts, museums and galleries to visitor centres, theatres or concerts,” adds Simon Kronberger, Director Austria & CEE of the commissioned consulting firm Christie & Co.

Applications for the lease are now open by sending an email to kursalon@christie.com. Interested parties will receive further documents and are asked to submit an utilisation concept for the entire building or for parts of it, whereby offers for the entire building are preferred.
