The Old Green Dragon is a charming, family-friendly pub which has received multiple CAMRA Awards in recent years, including ‘Nottingham Pub of the Year,’ ‘Village Pub of the Year,’ ‘LocAle Pub of the Year’ and ‘Cider Pub of the Year.’ The pub is a firm favourite among locals in Oxton, situated around ten miles from Nottingham.
The pub freehold has been sold by former owner Dave Brett, who commented, “The Old Green Dragon sale was completed at full asking price in favour of long-term tenants Cloe and Marc, who have operated an increasingly successful business over the past five years, despite the headwinds of inflation and changing customer spending patterns.
“Since a full renovation ten years ago, when The Old Green Dragon freehold was purchased from Marston’s, and also rescued from developers, the pub has become a focal point for both local villagers in Oxton and those from further away, looking for exceptionally well-kept beers and traditional pub food in a friendly, welcoming environment.
“We wish Cloe and Marc all the best for their continued success at The Old Green Dragon.”
