Having run the business for over a decade, the previous owners, Steve and Jane Pursey decided the time was right to bring the store to market to allow them to seek a well-earned retirement.

They comment, “Having owned the business for nearly 15 years, we felt that the timing was right for new owners to take over. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the local community and trust the new owners, Mitt and Hardik will do the same. Jamie Williams at Christie & Co was extremely helpful throughout the deal in challenging circumstances, and we thank him for his great communication during the whole process.”

The business has been purchased by local buyers, Hardik Pandya and Mitt Parmar and marks their second purchase through Christie & Co in 2021. The business partners have plans to expand further across the Bristol area.

They comment, “We are delighted to have bought a second store through Jamie Williams at Christie & Co and thank him for all his help with the purchase. The store has been fantastically run by Steve and Jane and we wish them well with their retirement. We are looking forward to welcoming customers in store for the rest of the year and beyond.”

Jamie Williams, Senior Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Retail team handled the sale and adds, “I’m delighted to see another village convenience store sell to a local buyer, highlighting our extensive knowledge of the immediate market.

“Demand for convenience stores remains at an all-time high and this has been demonstrated through the interest generated for this business – a total of nine viewings and eight offers before the preferred buyer was selected. It’s a great time to think about selling so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re considering a sale.”
