Ox Pasture Hall is a Grade II listed country house hotel and wedding venue with 39 bedrooms including 19 suites, a restaurant and bar, a purpose-built wedding barn, and a luxury spa building with treatment rooms, saunas/steam rooms, a gym and a heated indoor pool. The hotel sits within 17 acres of land including a lake and ornamental gardens.
Located on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park and close to the stunning Yorkshire Coast, the hotel lies between Scarborough and Whitby.
In early 2025, the hotel went into liquidation, with Christie & Co appointed to market the hotel by Claire Foster of Revive Business Recovery.
The hotel has been purchased by Wesley and Chloe Nunns, who commented, “We are incredibly excited to begin our journey with the hotel and bring it back to life! The hotel holds a lot of sentimental value for us, as we got married here ourselves ten years ago. We know the hotel has so much potential and we hope to become one of the best wedding venues in North Yorkshire! This is a very exciting new challenge for us, but we know it will be worth it.”
Mark Worley, Director – Hotels at Christie & Co commented, “Despite Ox Pasture Hall being in liquidation, we knew that the demand for a hotel of this size in this location would be healthy, however its closed status could present a challenge for some buyers. However, it was a superb opportunity for the right buyer to restore the building and the business to their former glories, and we are delighted to announce the sale to Wesley and Chloe Nunns, successful business owners with an accountancy background.”
“This was a great team effort from all involved, and we would like to thank Claire at Revive as well as lawyers John Morgan at Hay & Kilner and John Cooper at Wilkes, whose expertise and experience helped to get the deal completed in a very timely fashion. We wish Wesley and Chloe all the best with their new venture.”
