Located on Walcot Street within a former church, the restaurant serves around 150 covers and features a private dining/function room.
The restaurant lease has been sold to London-based hospitality operators who specialise in healthy plant-based Indian fusion food. They commented, “We’re excited to share that we have now opened our brand-new Indian vegan and vegetarian restaurant, Sarthi, in the heart of Bath on Walcot Street. What makes this launch particularly special is that it’s a passion project, led by a young female entrepreneur, which started without major investors or big financial backing, just a lot of heart, hard work, and a clear vision.
“Sarthi brings an authentic taste of India with a fully plant-based and vegetarian menu, offering something truly unique in Bath’s vibrant food scene. From dosas and curries to regional favourites rarely seen elsewhere, we’re proud to create a space that’s inclusive, flavourful, and community-driven.”
Graeme Clifford, Business Agent – Pubs & Restaurants at Christie & Co, said: “This was an off-market sale, however we received a lot of interest for this central Bath location, with potential buyers coming forward from the local area and further afield, especially London. We are delighted to see the new operators launch their restaurant and we wish them all the best in their venture.”
