Situated in the idyllic village of Hopton, the store is very popular and heavily relied upon by the local community and surrounding villages, with a strong and well-established customer base.

The previous owners, Alun and Karen Chapman, owned the store for 18 years and sold it due to retirement. They now look forward to spending more time with their family.

The business has been purchased by first-time buyers, Mr and Mrs Keshwala, who have previous experience in the retail sector. They comment, “We are so pleased to acquire this store. We do have plans in mind to grow the existing trade but firstly, we plan to settle into the area and get to know our regular customers and understand their needs.”

Lewis Last, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, comments, “This was a fantastic sale which generated very high levels of interest. We had 37 viewings and 31 bids received which shows how in demand freehold stores are in Norfolk at the moment. I am really pleased for Alun & Karen and wish them well in their retirement. Mr. & Mrs. Keshwala have also acquired a fantastic business which is the perfect entry into the retail market. I look forward to catching up in the future and seeing how they have grown the business.”
