Queens Park Pharmacy is a standard hours community pharmacy that dispenses an average of 12,700 items per month and provides a wide range of NHS and private services, including the Pharmacy First Scheme, extended vaccination provision, contraception services, and home delivery for prescriptions. This high-dispensing business occupies a prominent position on Holdenhurst Road, a busy through road in Bournemouth, serving the residential suburb of Springbourne.
Rajesh Kerai has owned the pharmacy for over 22 years and decided to sell due to a desire to spend some more time with his family.
Following a confidential sales process with Jonathan Board at Christie & Co, Queens Park Pharmacy has been purchased by Peter Boakye, who currently owns Lynton Pharmacy in Devon, marking his second pharmacy acquisition.
Rajesh Kerai, the former owner of Queens Park Pharmacy, comments, “Christie & Co was able to introduce a number of potential buyers with greatly different plans for the business. With their help and advice, we were able to choose a buyer who shared my vision for the future of the pharmacy. I am absolutely delighted to have sold my business and couldn’t be happier with who has taken it on and am sure they will make a success of it going forward.”
Jonathan Board, Director and Head of Pharmacy at Christie & Co, comments, “I am very pleased to have sold the business for Rajesh, who will now get a well-earned break from pharmacy ownership, and am sure that Peter will make a great success of this brilliant business.”
Queens Park Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
