Service station in East Sussex sold through Christie & Co

“The Ridge” is located on the busy B2093 into the tourist hotspot of Hastings, whilst also being positioned in a residential area, attracting a variety of customers. The site comprises a Shell-branded forecourt with fuel sales in excess of 3.7m litres, and a 2,100 square foot Spar convenience store.
The site has been sold by Kit Tandon, who has successfully operated the site for over 20 years. Having been in the forecourt industry for many years, Kit sold the site to retire and concentrate on other interests.
The site has been sold to Ascona, who have rebranded it with the latest Valero signage, and intend to trade a Nisa convenience store.
On completion of the sale, Kit Tandon said, “After 23 years at Ridgeway Service Station, I made the decision that the time is right to retire. Over the past two decades, I’ve witnessed significant changes in the industry and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.
“I would like to express a heartfelt thanks to all our loyal customers who have supported me and their local service station throughout the years. Their continued patronage meant the world to us. I also want to extend my gratitude to my dedicated team, many of whom have been with me for over a decade, especially my manager who was with me for the full 23 years. It was a privilege to work with such loyal and dedicated individuals.
