Established day nursery in Battersea sold to London group

Riverside Nursery is a large day nursery setting which occupies the ground floor of an apartment block on the upscale Battersea Reach housing development on the banks of the River Thames. It can accommodate up to 113 children at any one time. The teachers draw upon the Early Years Foundation Stage Principles and the Montessori philosophy when caring for the children.
The nursery was founded in April 1992 in leased premises in Putney and moved to its present ‘freehold’ Battersea site in January 2010. Its previous owners, Sandra and Enley Taylor, both former teachers, opened nurseries on seven sites throughout their 34-year career, and Riverside is the last to be sold. They decided to sell Riverside to begin their well-earned retirement.
Following a confidential sales process with Sophie Willcox at Christie & Co, Riverside has been purchased by Kido Schools, which operates across London and the Home Counties.
Sandra and Enley Taylor, former owners, comment, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our careers in the early years sector, but, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. It’s now time to hand over the reins, and we thank Kido for the purchase and wish them all success for the future.”

Riverside Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
