The Mug House Inn

The Mug House Inn is a well-established riverside hospitality venue in one of Worcestershire’s busiest tourist towns, offering more than 115 seated covers, an attractive garden bar, and an excellent culinary reputation.

The business benefits from multiple income streams, including four en suite letting rooms. In addition, a separate agreement with a neighbouring landlord provides access to three further letting rooms. There is also a one-bedroom manager’s flat.

The Mug House is widely regarded as a destination pub and dining venue and offers scope for further growth through its established food trade, accommodation income, and external trading areas.

Since purchasing the property in 2019, owner Mr Saghri has invested in its development. A standout enhancement is the transformation of the rear patio into a year-round trading area, which has significantly improved the pub's performance.

Mr Saghri has decided to sell the lease for the inn due to health reasons and to spend more time in his hometown in Northamptonshire.

Speaking about the sale, Mr Saghri commented, “With some investment, the pub offers a tremendous opportunity to grow and increase both sales and profitability. Suffering a little from ill health, I now need to spend more time at my home in Northamptonshire.”

The sale of the lease for The Mug House Inn is being managed by James Dodd, Business Agent at Christie & Co, who added, “The Mug House Inn is a standout hospitality business, combining a highly attractive trading environment with multiple income streams and a proven food-led offer. It is rare to bring to the market a business of this quality, particularly one that has been so thoughtfully developed and offers such clear potential for the next operator.”

The Mug House Inn leasehold is on the market with an asking price premium of £99,950.
