Charming day nursery in popular North Yorkshire town sold to family buyers

Rooftops Nursery School is an established day nursery setting that provides care for up to 54 children at a time. It offers a calm, nurturing and child-led environment shaped by Montessori principles, with the nursery achieving its accreditation with The Curiosity Approach. The setting sits on Queens Road in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and is the only private nursery in the town.
It has been owned by Hannah Hurley since 2013, shortly after her daughter attended the setting. Her vision has been central to the nursery’s strong reputation and its ongoing role within the Richmond community. After more than a decade of dedicated ownership, Hannah made the difficult decision to sell the business due to other commitments.
Following a confidential sales process with Grace Day at Christie & Co, Rooftops Nursery School has been purchased by first-time buyers, Joanne and Andrew Banner. They felt that the setting was the perfect place to begin their journey in early years education and care.
