High-dispensing pharmacy in Leeds sold to expanding regional group

Roundhay Pharmacy is a standard hour community pharmacy that dispenses an average of circa 11,500 items per month. It is located on Roundhay Road in the busy inner-city suburb of Harehills in Leeds.

The pharmacy has been owned by Mr Adeel Sarwar of AAA Healthcare Limited for over 20 years. Adeel, a well-respected Pharmacist and Vice Chair of Community Pharmacy West Yorkshire, brought the business to market as part of his semi-retirement plans. He remains an active registered Pharmacist and continues to contribute to the sector through his leadership role.

Following a confidential sales process with Jon Booth at Christie & Co, the pharmacy has been acquired by Mr Sie Yew Ting and Mr Tech Ding of TD Medicare Ltd, a growing regional group. Roundhay Pharmacy marks the third site in their expanding portfolio, which includes two other branches in Scunthorpe.

Mr Tech Ding, one of the new owners of Roundhay Pharmacy, comments, "Having acquired my first pharmacy via Jon Booth a few years ago in Scunthorpe, it was great to work with him again on this opportunity. Having myself moved to Leeds in early 2024, acquiring a Leeds pharmacy contract was a key aim for our growth plans and we look forward to building on Adeel’s legacy in the coming years and wish him the very best with his next chapter.”

Roundhay Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
