High-dispensing pharmacies in Leicester secure new local owner
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of The Somerby Pharmacy group trading from two branches in Oadby and Kibworth.

The Oadby branch operates as a Distance Selling Pharmacy (DSP), dispensing over 10,000 items each month. Kibworth is a community pharmacy, dispensing approximately 12,000 items per month.
The pharmacies were previously owned by Mr Romin Tayub for six and three years, respectively.
Following a confidential sales process with Carl Steer at Christie & Co, The Somerby Pharmacy Group has been purchased by an East Anglian-based investor.
Carl Steer, Director – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, comments, “Initially, we were instructed to identify a purchaser for the highly successful Distance Selling Pharmacy (DSP) in Oadby. The business generated significant interest from a diverse range of potential buyers, and a sale was promptly agreed with a family investment company based in Norfolk.
“During the course of negotiations, the Kibworth pharmacy was incorporated into the transaction, and the sale of both businesses was subsequently completed. The sale of the Oadby pharmacy is particularly noteworthy, representing one of few DSP pharmacy transactions to be completed in the county for a significant value.”
Somerby Pharmacy Group was sold for an undisclosed price.
