‘Good’ Hampshire village nursery sold after 20-year ownership
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of South Wonston Day Nursery in the Hampshire village of South Wonston.
Established over 40 years ago, South Wonston Day Nursery is a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated setting which offers day care to up to 30 children aged two to four years and after school club care to children aged four to eight years.
The nursery is situated in a single storey, converted property with plenty of outside space in the Hampshire village of South Wonston.
Previous owner, Anita Francis, acquired South Wonston Day Nursery in 2002 and, after 20 years of managing and owning the setting, she decided to retire from the sector and enjoy new ventures.
Following a confidential sales process, the setting has been sold to a pair of local operators.
Sophie Willcox, Director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I am delighted to announce another freehold sale in the South. Despite a clear rise in buyer interest for leasehold nurseries across the country, we’re still very much seeing demand for freehold settings, such as this, and I expect this to continue throughout the year. I wish the new owners the best of luck with their new venture and thank Anita for her patience as we navigated a pandemic!”
South Wonston Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
