Spar branded convenience store in Edzell sold to first time buyers
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co is delighted to report the sale of Spar Edzell, a profitable store in the picturesque village of Edzell, Scotland. Funding for the new owner’s purchase was secured through Christie Finance.
The store has been owned and operated by Caroline Hamilton for over 12 years and came to the market as the she felt the right was time to pass it onto a new operator, with the shop in a healthy state.
Caroline comments on the sale, “I’m delighted to have successfully sold my business with the help of Christie & Co. I had previously marketed the business locally, but the interest increased once they were on board, and I was able to achieve a better price. The store has been purchased by Mr Sekar, who comments, “I was running a franchise business in Aberdeen when I came across an advertisement about the Spar in Edzell on the Christie & Co website. I approached Liam to discuss the possibility of buying this business and he was very helpful throughout.
