St Mary’s is registered with the Care Quality Commission for a maximum of 56 residents and, at the last regulatory inspection, was rated ‘Good’ overall. The home is situated in a sought-after residential area on the outskirts of Doncaster, with panoramic views over the open green land of Town Moor, which is also the home of Doncaster Racecourse.

St Mary’s was marketed on behalf of Hilary Pascoe and Andrew Knowles of Leonard Curtis (UK) Limited, acting as Joint Administrators of Saroia Staffing Services Limited.

Following a full marketing campaign, handled by Jonathan Wickens at Christie & Co, which resulted in substantial interest and multiple offers, a sale has been concluded to Town Field Care Limited, who will operate St Mary’s alongside their sister home in Leeds.

A Director at Town Field Care Limited comments, “We are absolutely delighted to become the new owners of St Mary’s and are eager to continue to build our presence in the Yorkshire region. We would like to extend our thanks to all parties involved in this complex sale. Our primary focus will be on providing a caring and supportive home for all our residents, and we look forward to working closely with the exceptional staff team to carry on the good work that has been fostered at the home.”

Jonathan Wickens, Director – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “St Mary’s generated substantial interest with operators from across the UK submitting offers, and we are pleased to have secured a sale to Town Field Care Limited. This sale further highlights the demand we are experiencing for care homes across the Yorkshire region from local and national operators.”

Hilary Pascoe, Director at Leonard Curtis, comments, “We were confident in the advice of our agents that continuing to trade St Mary’s as a going concern would help us achieve the best value from any sale while maintaining employment for the staff and continued care to the residents.”

St Mary’s was sold for an undisclosed sum.
