First-time buyer brothers snap up popular Leeds pharmacy business

Star Pharmacy is a well-established community pharmacy that dispenses circa 8,600 items per month. It is located on Cardigan Road in Leeds which connects the popular suburbs of Burley and Headingley.
The pharmacy has been owned by Huddersfield-based multi-operators, Khuram Akhtar and Mohammed Ali for around 10 years, and was brought to market to allow them to focus on growing their wider property and business portfolio in and around Huddersfield.
Following a confidential sales process with Jon Booth at Christie & Co, it has been sold to local first-time buyer brothers, Shujah and Sarum Qureshi, who plan to work as owner-operators and build on the pharmacy’s excellent service and reputation.
Khuram Akhtar, Former owner of Star Pharmacy, comments, “It was a difficult decision to sell Star Pharmacy as it has been the lynchpin of our success over the past 10 years as we have grown our property portfolio, however, with recent acquisitions in our hometown of Huddersfield, it was the right time to market the site. We wish the new owners the very best as they begin their journey of ownership.”

Star Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
