Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of The Cavens Arms, an award-winning bar and restaurant located opposite the River Nythe in Dumfries, Scotland.

The Cavens Arms is a popular stop-off for many visitors exploring Dumfries’ local attractions, including the Robert Burns House and Devorgilla Bridge. Over the years, the pub has won an impressive total of 15 CAMRA Real Ale awards and has become renowned for its range of seasonal Scottish specials and famous fish and chips, prepared by a team of skilled chefs.
The business had been owned by Gary Jeffries and his family for the last 20 years, who now plan to focus on other personal interests.
The Cavens Arms has been sold to a first-time local buyer.
Tony Spence, Associate Director – Hospitality at Christie & Co, managed the sale process and said, “We are delighted to have achieved a sale for our clients, who have owned the business for over two decades. The sale attracted significant interest and was sold to a local buyer. We wish our client all the best in their next ventures, and many successes to the buyer who will no doubt continue the current levels of service for many years to come.”
