The Duke of Richmond

The Duke of Richmond is a well-established neighbourhood pub and restaurant. The property features an elegant dining space and an outdoor seating area for al fresco dining on the ground floor and a basement kitchen.

Situated at 316 Queensbridge Road, Hackney, it is positioned at a prime corner location with excellent public transport links and is surrounded by local amenities and a vibrant community.

The virtual freehold interest in the property has been acquired by a private investor, reflecting continued confidence in established community-led licensed venues in the region. The business is unaffected by the freehold sale, with the existing operator remaining in place and continuing to trade as normal, serving the local community.

David Wilson, Associate Director - Pubs and Restaurants at Christie & Co based in London, managed the sale process and commented, “This sale demonstrates ongoing investor appetite for well-located, income-producing pubs. Importantly, the transaction has been completed purely on an investment basis, ensuring continuity for the existing business, its staff, customers, and the wider community.”

The Duke of Richmond was sold at an undisclosed sum.
