Historic Hampshire farmhouse turned care home sold to local provider

The Grange Nursing Home is registered for up to 26 elderly residents across 26 single occupancy bedrooms. Originally built as a farmhouse in the nineteenth century, The Grange was converted into a nursing home in 1987 and now operates with high occupancy levels, and benefits from newly received planning permission for an additional 14 bedrooms to be built in the rear garden. The home is located on Vyne Road, in the popular and historic village of Sherborne St John, just four miles north of Basingstoke.

The Grange Nursing Home has been owned by Accurocare since 1987 and was brought to market as part of the group’s strategic focus on its geographically concentrated portfolio. The sale leaves the group with four other care homes across England and Wales.

Following a confidential sales process led by Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, the home has been acquired by Zahid and Rishad Datoo of Serincourt Limited, which marks their sixth care home acquisition in the South of England.

The Grange Nursing Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
