Three petrol stations sold on behalf of Hockenhull Garages

Two of the petrol stations are located close to each other in Peterborough, with the third located in Wigston, Leicester. The Hockenhulls operate a number of other forecourts across the Midlands.

Peter and Joe Hockenhull approached Christie & Co to assist with the sale of these sites after taking the strategic decision to pursue and invest in other sectors to diversify their portfolio.

The successful purchasers were Park Garage Group who, prior to these acquisitions, operated 77 petrol stations across the UK. Park Garage Group, who first started operating in 1975 and are still a family-owned business, identified the sites as a strategic fit for their existing estate.

Peter Hockenhull, who is an industry veteran, having worked in the sector for over 60 years and first started in 1963, commented, “Selling three of our sites is a decision our family did not take lightly but the time was right to invest in other sectors to diversify our portfolio. We will continue to operate our remaining forecourts and are currently developing Croft on the outskirts of Leicester which we hope will be finalised in Autumn 2025.”

The sites were sold at an undisclosed price.
