Busy Barnsley pharmacy sold to growing South Yorkshire group operator

Ward Green Pharmacy is a standard hours community pharmacy that dispenses an average of 6,595 items per month. It is located on Vernon Road in Worsbrough, which is approximately two miles south of the centre of Barnsley.

The pharmacy has been owned by Tom Bisset for 18 years and was brought to market to allow him to retire from running the business.

Following a confidential sales process with Tom Young at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Rehan Nawaz of Pharmasurge Partnerships, who now owns 10 pharmacies across Yorkshire and the south of England.

Tom Bisset, the former owner of Ward Green Pharmacy, comments, “I am very pleased that after 18 years of serving the local community, my patients and staff have been handed over to an experienced and forward-thinking pharmacist in Rehan. I’m looking forward to a decent rest and wish him and his team the greatest of success.”

Ward Green Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
