Wellingtons Freehouse in New Milton sold
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of the Wellingtons Freehouse, an established town centre public house located on Osborne Road in New Milton, Hampshire.
Business. Built around You.

The Wellingtons Freehouse is a prominent pub with spacious, open-plan bar areas and a function room on the ground floor. Above the pub are three self-contained residential apartments.
Originally acquired by the previous owner in 2021, the sale forms part of their decision to streamline their portfolio. The pub attracted interest from both operators and investors seeking an established trading business with additional residential income.
Following a sale process with Richard Wood at Christie & Co, the Wellingtons Freehouse has been purchased by Ed Bishop, marking his first venture in the hospitality sector.
Ed commented, “We are so glad to finally have the keys and hit the ground running with this incredible business. We couldn't be more grateful to Richard and the team at Christie & Co who went above and beyond to drive our purchase through.”
Richard Wood, Regional Director at Christie & Co, commented, “We are delighted to have completed the sale of the Wellingtons Freehouse. Its strong weekly trade, central New Milton location, and valuable residential accommodation made it an attractive opportunity for a range of buyers. I wish Ed every success for the future.”
The Wellingtons Freehouse sold at an undisclosed price.
