Lease for riverside pub in Kingston upon Thames sold through Christie & Co

Located on the riverside on Rams Passage, Woody’s pub is a lively and welcoming venue known for its great atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong community appeal.

The leasehold of the independent pub has been acquired by Windsor & Eton Brewery, marking the end to a successful 16 years’ tenure under Woody’s Pub Company Limited. The pub will close for refurbishment, before a grand opening which will reveal the upgraded interiors, introduce the new owners, and showcase the fantastic range of beers available.

Former owner of Woody’s, Dominic Clarke, said, “After nearly 17 years living and breathing Woody's on Kingston riverside, it was time to pass the guardianship onto someone else. David at Christie & Co understood the business perfectly and sought out several potential buyers who were a good fit for Woody’s. I am thrilled that Windsor & Eton Brewery have taken on what has become a bit of a landmark in the area, and I am excited to see them put their stamp on it whilst continuing the vibrant, inclusive and ultimately fun nature of the bar.”
