Q&A with Christopher Logan, owner of Slateford Dental Care
18 months on from his purchase of Slateford Dental Care in Edinburgh, Joel Mannix sat down with Christopher Logan to talk about how he’s getting on at the practice.

Slateford Dental Care is a predominantly private, modern seven-surgery dental practice located in the heart of Edinburgh. It has an excellent clinical reputation – boasting a five-star Google rating across over 500 reviews - and is recognised as the largest Denplan practice in the city.
At the end of 2024, Joel Mannix brokered the sale of the practice for Robert King, who established the business over 35 years ago and was looking to retire.
It was purchased by first-time buyer and implantology specialist, Christopher Logan, who always wanted to own his own practice; he said, “to help empower me to determine my own future and the future of others, with shared goals and ambitions in mind.”
18 months later, Joel caught up with Christopher to talk about how he’s getting on at the practice, how he found the buying process, and what advice he would give to anyone looking to move into practice ownership.
