When did you join Christie & Co?
January 2019.

Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie & Co?
On a mountain on holiday in France.

What was your first job?
Refereeing kids football games at a 5-A-Side centre – still the scariest job I’ve ever had facing the parents on the side lines!!

In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie & Co?
I carry out valuations of all healthcare and medical related businesses.

What’s your favourite thing about Christie & Co?
My favourite thing is the people and the real passion that they have for what we do.

What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie & Co so far?
I’ve enjoyed working on some of the larger care group projects and seeing various assets all over the country.

What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
Lockdown was definitely the biggest challenge. Not being able to get out to work and see people was really difficult (as it was for everyone!). Home schooling young kids also confirmed I certainly wouldn’t have made it as a teacher.

What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
The highlight was being promoted to Director in January 2022. I was really proud to have achieve that recognition.

How has the industry changed since you started at Christie & Co?
The increased use of technology has certainly made things a lot slicker. Particularly in the pharmacy market with the increasing use of robot dispensing and 24/7 collection machines.

Who in your industry do you feel most inspired by?
Easy answer – the front-line nurses, carers, and staff that kept the healthcare sector going during Covid!

Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
I enjoy cycling, swimming and anything that involves the outdoors! I had to hang up my black belt in karate a while ago now due to time commitments with a young family.

What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
Glasgow to both.

Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
The best place was definitely Fiji on honeymoon (a rugby tour to the USA in 2006 was a close second though).

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Drivers that don’t thank you for letting them pass!

If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
Sydney. Other than the obvious better weather, they seem to have the work-life balance down to a tee.

What would be your desert island meal?
Fillet steak with blue cheese sauce!

What’s your favourite film?
Kill Bill.

What is your favourite movie quote?
‘Just keep swimming’ – Finding Nemo.

What is one thing on your bucket list?
To go to a British and Irish Lions game in Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.

What is your biggest fear?
Sharks.

What news source do you read every day?
BBC webpage.

What’s your social media platform of choice?
 Facebook / Instagram.
