When did you join Christie & Co?
December 2022.

Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie & Co?
In my car.

What was your first job?
A petrol pump attendant.

In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie & Co?
I have the privilege of working with operators in an industry that is life-changing to so many, and I get to share their passion and assist them with the next step in their life whether that is expansion or exiting.

What’s your favourite thing about Christie & Co?
The people, clients and colleagues. You never know who you will be talking to next, and we get the chance to make friends as well as clients.

What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie & Co so far?
I don’t have a favourite as each project is different, but all have their challenges and their rewards.

What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?
The transition from an operator to this side has a lot of synergies however there are new systems, and it has been fantastic to learn a whole new side to the industry in a different way.  

What’s been a highlight of your career so far?
My first completion.

How has the industry changed since you started at Christie & Co?
With less than a year under my belt, it is hard to say however I would say we are seeing more completions this side of the year.

Who in your industry do you feel most inspired by?
I’m blessed with a very supportive and successful team and currently learning from them all, particularly Martin Daw and Richard Lunn.

Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
Big rugby man here, still playing somehow and cooking.

What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
Hometown is Jersey Channel Island, I now live in Cupar, Scotland.

Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
South Africa.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Loud chewing.

If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
I am loving Edinburgh for our local office and Scotland so far. It has been so easy to settle in with a young family so I would say I am at where I would want to be.

What would be your desert island meal?
Steak.

What’s your favourite film?
I am not sure I can choose; I am partial to all but horror films.

What is your favourite movie quote?
“I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany’’ – Anchorman.

What is one thing on your bucket list?
Diving with sharks.

What is your biggest fear?
Not a huge fan of spiders however I am getting better with them.

What news source do you read every day?
BBC news.

What’s your social media platform of choice?
Instagram.
