Following a structured operator search process for the hotel, Christie & Co's investment team has formalised a lease agreement with Majorcan hotel chain, Summum Hotel Group. From May 2024, Summum Hotel Group will take over the management of the establishment.

Villa Nazules Hotel Hípica Spa is located 25 kilometres from the city of Toledo, in an exceptional natural setting just minutes from the capital of La Mancha. The hotel’s idyllic setting among olive groves, the uniqueness of the complex and the variety of its facilities make it a true oasis of tranquillity.

The property covers an area of 300,000 square metres, with a built-up area of 5,000 square metres distributed over several facilities.

The hotel features 30 rooms, several dining options and various event spaces, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, a spa of over 400 m2 and a wide range of sports facilities including a gymnasium, tennis court and paddle tennis court. It also boasts the prestigious Yeguada San José Equestrian Club, which organises various competitions throughout the year and will continue to be managed by the owner.

The new operator, Summum Hotel Group is a family-run hotel company with 50 years' experience in the tourism and catering sector, who has recently expanded its activities into new sectors such as real estate and technology. With the addition of Villa Nazules Hotel Hípica Spa, the Group now has 11 exclusive, quality hotels, all located in different cities in Spain, consolidating its expansion strategy.

Javier Vich, CEO of Summum Hotel Group, comments on the deal: "We are very pleased to welcome Villa Nazules Hotel Hípica Spa to our family. We are proud that the Hernández Martín family has placed their trust in us for this project, which we are very excited about. After a year of exponential growth in 2023, we continue to fulfil this commitment and Toledo is the first of all the projects we have for 2024. With this addition, we want to continue to expand our horizons and offer new experiences to our guests."

José Hernández, owner of the asset, adds: "We would like to highlight the professionalism of Christie & Co and express our thanks to Camila, Marina and Nicolas. It has been a great experience to have the collaboration of a great team of professionals in this process of continuity for Villa Nazules. We are very excited with the agreement reached with Summum Hotel Group and we thank the Vich family for their confidence in this project. We are convinced that, with their philosophy, the essence of Villa Nazules will continue and will be a success."

Camila Ortiz, Christie & Co's Senior Investment Consultant for Spain and Portugal, comments: "We are delighted to have advised the owner family on this process. We are very excited and confident about the project and believe that Summum is the ideal partner to position Villa Nazules Hotel Hípica Spa in the Toledo hotel market.”

Nicolas Cousin, Managing Director of Christie & Co in Spain and Portugal, adds: "We are delighted to have been able to accompany both the family that owns the hotel and Summum Hotel Group in the signing of this agreement. It is rare to find such a perfect fit between an owner and an operator. We are convinced that Villa Nazules Hotel Hípica Spa will take a leap forward in quality and position itself as a reference hotel in Toledo."
