Christie & Co announce the sale of the Rivercroft Hotel on behalf of administrators
On behalf of the joint administrator, Arabella Ranby-Gorwood and Charles Ranby-Gorwood from CRG Insolvency & Financial Recovery, specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is delighted to announce the sale of The Rivercroft Hotel in South East Cornwall.
Located in the centre of Looe and overlooking the Looe River, the Rivercroft Hotel is set in the former home of a ship captain, believed to have been constructed in the 1890’s. The hotel, which features 11 guest rooms, four self-contained apartments and a bar and restaurant, ceased trading in 2022 when it was sold to new owners and has remained closed since.
The business has been purchased by a family from Cornwall who own and operate hotels in Scotland and The Shetland Isles. They plan on a soft opening in 2024 with a rolling programme of refurbishment works.
