Established convenience store in Devon sold as long-time owners retire

Centrally located on the busy Exeter Road, Morey’s Convenience Store has been a long-time staple amongst the community, providing a wide range of convenience items including newspapers, confectionary and alcohol.

The store has been owned and operated for the last 20 years by Gareth Curl and Mark Gibbings, who have both worked in the business for nearly 40 years.

The pair, who sold the business due to retirement, comment on the sale, “We would like to thank the local community and all our loyal customers for their support over the years. We have really felt like a massive part of the community and have thoroughly enjoyed providing the well needed services that Morey’s has provided for all. We are excited to see what the new owners Robin and Ritesh bring to the area. They have some fantastic ideas to take Morey’s into the future, which we are sure all our customers will greatly appreciate.”

Morey’s Convenience Store has been purchased by experienced operators, Robin Nagpal and Ritesh Rai, who have exciting plans for the business going forward.

They comment, “It’s a great pleasure to become the new owners of such a fine and well-established convenience store. The Morey’s name is well known in the area, and we are very much looking forward to taking the store to the next level, which will enable us to continue serving the community and bring a larger offering with lots of new lines to choose from.”
