Tucked away on a 4.5-acre site within cobbled countryside walls, along a busy A694 trunk road from Swalwell to Winlaton, Oaklands is a long-standing hidden gem of Swalwell. The established garden centre has been trading to both the public and wholesalers for the past 3 years under the ownership of Mr. Craggs. Oaklands came to the market as he is looking to focus on other interests.
The business benefits from year-round trade, with a seasonal boost from pumpkin and Christmas tree sales and has undergone an extension to the storage and sales areas, including adding a new shop area.
Oaklands Garden Centre has been purchased by Alex Joines and Laura Baker, who plan to develop the business further.
