Forest View Walkers Inn seeking new owners

​Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to sell the Forest View Walkers Inn situated just five miles south of the Scottish border on the Pennine Way, an area known for its outstanding natural beauty.

The family run inn sits in a picturesque spot on the edge of Northumberland National Park, home to Northumberland Dark Sky Park, Europe’s largest area of protected night sky. With some of the darkest and most pristine skies in the world, it has been awarded gold tier designation by the International Dark Sky Association making it officially the best spot in England to enjoy astronomical delights. The Forest View Walkers Inn sits at the very centre of this magnificent natural phenomenon. 

As well as admiring star-gazers, the seven bed 4-star inn also specifically attracts walkers and hikers due to its superb location on the Pennine Way and the Lands End to John O’Groats route. Specialising in two night stays, all rooms offer either en-suite or private facilities and have been presented to a high quality standard with a mixture of single, double and twins. The inn also offers camping facilities with a shower and toilet block. All guests are welcome to dine in the Forester’s Restaurant and Bar, and there is a three bedroom owner’s accommodation.



After many years of hard work, the current owners, Colin and Joyce Taylor, are now looking to seek a well-earned retirement. They have accumulated a number of recent awards including ‘Dark Sky Stay & Gaze’, ‘Northumberland WOW 24/7 B&B/Guesthouse of the Year 2016’ and numerous TripAdvisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’ Awards from 2013 to 2017. The Forest View Inn has also been seen on the BBC’s ‘The Pennine Way’ programme, has been featured in The Guardian Travel Supplement and for two consistent years, has been winner of The Northumberland National Park ‘Welcoming Park Exceptional Visitor Experience’ Award.
