Opened in 2010 by current owners Gary Seaton and Mark Ratcliffe, Ye Olde Steppes currently trades as a shop, tea room and luxury holiday cottage which is located to the rear of the property backing on to the church green and private garden.

Over the years, the shop and tearoom has gone from strength to strength, gaining both local and national acclaim with highlights including being named the Best Village Shop in the Midlands and Runner-up Best Village Shop in the UK 2013, TripAdviser Excellence Awards 2013-14 & 15 and The Diamond Award for Best Hospitality at The Heart of England Fine food Awards.
Pembridge, noted for its historic timber-framed buildings, is promoted to visitors as “the heart of the Black and White Village Trail” and attracts a large volume of tourists from all over the world throughout the year.

Tim Bloomer, Retail Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Birmingham office commented, “Pembridge is the picture perfect English village and would be ideal for a buyer who is looking to get away from a busy urban lifestyle and swap it for a relaxed community focused business in rural Herefordshire. The current owners have built the business from scratch and now have staff in place to enable them to enjoy a “laid-back” approach to the business to maximize their own personal time.

“Ye Olde Steppes enjoys a fantastic reputation locally and has been recognised nationally for its quality service. A new owner coming in would have a tremendous business base to work with, both from local regulars and the extensive tourist trade.”
