The Scottish market
The central belt remains the key focus for our buyers with other areas including Fife and Inverness attracting more attention as market activity remains robust. Values are generally lower than south of the border but the market is hotting up as buyers more north to find value.
Notable recent successes include the sale of Inchcape Dental centre in St Andrews, in one of the largest individual practices to be sold in Scotland recently.

The North, North West and North East
One of the busiest areas of the UK, the North of England is popular with all types of buyer including independents and corporate. Demand from buyers is strong for all practice types, particularly in and around the major cities including Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. We regularly achieve multiple offers for practices in excess of the asking price and average 12 viewings for every practice launched to the market. Midlands, South-East & East Anglia
The Midlands is fast becoming a competitor to the South-East when we consider value and levels of interest. However due to the density of population the South-East and certain parts of East Anglia remain in demand.
Lack of stock, strong appetite from banks and a fast growing register of buyers will ensure the dental market in this region continues to be strong well into 2017.

London still remains the hotspot for buyers with corporate and multiple practice owners competing with each other for the best practices. As demand increases and Associate rates fall, premium prices are being paid for NHS/mixed practices and quality private practices within the M25.
The 'London effect' is benefiting those thinking of selling in the home counties too; this was evidenced by the sale of Marlfield House in Winchester, a landmark 10 surgery practice in one of the largest single transactions in the UK in recent years.

Dentistry in the South/South West
Demographically, this region is very well served by dental practices with some of the larger NHS contracts in the UK. Its proximity to London also draws purchasers out, although recruiting new dentists can be a challenge in the more remote areas.
Although the larger towns and cities such as Bristol, Plymouth & Exeter will attract significant interest, the whole region has plenty to offer potential buyers who are keen to move out of some of the larger cities for a perceived lifestyle change.
