Dental practices

Perhaps you know us from the hundreds of dental practices that we value every year for Banks? Or maybe you've spoken with one of our specialists about the many challenges related to owning and running a modern dental practice in these increasingly regulated times?

We've been valuing dental practices for many years, but in 2013 we launched a specialist dental practice brokerage service. Our aim was simple - to take the very best of what Christie & Co has offered other business sectors over our 80 year history and offer it to the dental sector. Since then, we've successfully completed on many dental practice sales right across the UK

So what do we offer?

Purchasing a practice?

Why not register on the website now for details of what we have for sale? It costs nothing and we'll email you new instructions when we take them, free of charge and automatically. We can also advise on all aspects of the purchasing process and help you raise funding through our sister company Christie Finance.

Dental practices for sale

2016 – another busy year for dental practice sales

How does demand shape up though across our regions?

The Scottish market

The central belt remains the key focus for our buyers with other areas including Fife and Inverness attracting more attention as market activity remains robust. Values are generally lower than south of the border but the market is hotting up as buyers more north to find value.

Notable recent successes include the sale of Inchcape Dental centre in St Andrews, in one of the largest individual practices to be sold in Scotland recently.

With offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, we understand the market like no other agent and are ideally placed for anybody looking to buy or sale in Scotland. Call Paul Graham on 0131 524 3416.

The North, North West and North East

One of the busiest areas of the UK, the North of England is popular with all types of buyer including independents and corporate. Demand from buyers is strong for all practice types, particularly in and around the major cities including Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. We regularly achieve multiple offers for practices in excess of the asking price and average 12 viewings for every practice launched to the market. We have offices in Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle all with dental specialists.

With specialist dental agents living and working in the region, we understand the local market best. Call Jonathan Watson on 0161 833 6935.

Midlands, South-East & East Anglia

The Midlands is fast becoming a competitor to the South-East when we consider value and levels of interest. However due to the density of population the South-East and certain parts of East Anglia remain in demand.
Lack of stock, strong appetite from banks and a fast growing register of buyers will ensure the dental market in this region continues to be strong well into 2017.

Carl Steer is our Midlands dental specialist, call him on 0121 452 3722.

London still remains the hotspot for buyers with corporate and multiple practice owners competing with each other for the best practices. As demand increases and Associate rates fall, premium prices are being paid for NHS/mixed practices and quality private practices within the M25.

The 'London effect' is benefiting those thinking of selling in the home counties too; this was evidenced by the sale of Marlfield House in Winchester, a landmark 10 surgery practice in one of the largest single transactions in the UK in recent years.

This region is covered by our offices in London, Maidstone and Reading – contact Simon Hughes on 020 7227 0749.

Dentistry in the South/South West

Demographically, this region is very well served by dental practices with some of the larger NHS contracts in the UK. Its proximity to London also draws purchasers out, although recruiting new dentists can be a challenge in the more remote areas.

Although the larger towns and cities such as Bristol, Plymouth & Exeter will attract significant interest, the whole region has plenty to offer potential buyers who are keen to move out of some of the larger cities for a perceived lifestyle change. With offices in Winchester, Exeter and Bristol Christie & Co are well placed to provide relevant local market advice to any perspective sellers in the area.
