The site was sold by Peveril Homes which is part of the Bowmer + Kirkland Group, one of the UK’s most successful construction and development groups.

The site has been purchased by Avery Healthcare Group, one of the leading developers and operators in the care home sector, which aims to provide facilities to meet the needs of the local community. The Group has achieved full planning permission for a state-of-the-art care home scheme which will be situated in a prominent position on Burton Road.

The proposed scheme will be light, bright, spacious, and homely with easy access to amenities including dining, lounges, bistro, cinema, and hairdressing. All ground floor amenity areas and bedrooms will have direct access to external landscaped areas which will be an attractive setting for residents and essential for their wellbeing.

Mr Keith Crockett, Director at Avery Healthcare, comments, “We are delighted to have acquired this highly prominent site in an attractive part of Littleover, Derby.  Building on the success of our nearby Derby Heights Care Home, we look forward to developing a modern, state-of-the-art facility that should be ready to welcome residents in the late summer of 2022.  We expect this new home to be a fabulous addition to our portfolio of award-winning Avery care homes.”

Jordan Rundle, Associate Director at Christie & Co, comments, “Avery Healthcare is an award-winning operator and represented an excellent operational fit for the subject development given its presence in the local area already. Operator demand for good quality care home developments has proven resilient despite the huge challenges faced during the pandemic. We are delighted to have worked with Peveril and Avery on this transaction.”

The care home site was sold at an undisclosed price.
