Purpose of the Role

Christie & Co are the leading specialist advisor for buying and selling businesses in our sectors – Childcare, Dental Practices, Healthcare, Hotels, Leisure, Pharmacies, Pubs & Restaurants, and Retail. This is an opportunity to take the lead of the digital marketing team based in London. The main purpose of this role is to manage the development and delivery of our online marketing strategy with a focus on paid activity.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Devise and implement a digital marketing strategy with the support and input from the senor leadership team
  • Coaching and leading the business on digital best practice, alongside the sector marketing team

  • Utilize an expert level of Paid Media; PPC, Paid Social (Google, Facebook/Instagram and LinkedIn advertising)
  • Creating, managing, and optimizing a variety of paid social and PPC campaigns across our different sectors
  • Daily analysis and updates of ongoing campaigns to ensure a strong ROI
  • Continue to develop the integration and frequency of digital marketing across the wider business by building on previous success and new initiatives
  • Ownership of the digital marketing budget and allocation throughout the wider business
  • Supporting all sector teams across the UK and Europe with their digital marketing requirements
  • Work closely with the other marketing managers and collaborating with them on a variety of projects
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Digital Marketing Assistant and assist in developing their career
  • Work closely with our SEO agency to deliver the strategy and monthly workload
  • Continual analysis and development of website to increase traffic, engagement conversions via Google analytics and reports
  • Deliver strong and engaging organic content across our social channels, while building on the existing strategy
  • Monthly reporting on our KPI’s/statistics, including enquiries, paid/organic social and website data
  • Regular content and technical updates to our website

Working Relationships and Contacts

The successful candidate will work in the digital marketing team, which comes under the wider marketing umbrella – consisting of marketing managers, design experts and PR specialists. The digital team supports all sectors which makes our work varied and engaging.  Whilst we are based in London, we work across the UK and Europe. Internally, we work closely with the IT development team to support our website development and improvements. This role is very much integrated within the business, and a ‘Business Partner’ approach is key.


Externally we work with different agencies including, but not limited to, an SEO specialist agency, video suppliers and have relationships with different providers such as Google, Meta, and LinkedIn.


Person Specification


Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience (5 years minimum) in digital marketing, preferably in the property industry
  • Expert level of paid media, including Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn and Google advertising
  • Previous experience of people management and career development
  • Strong expertise in campaign analysis (e.g Google analytics, Facebook and Google ads managers) and leveraging data to improve campaign performance
  • Budget management experience is key
  • Intermediate understanding of SEO
  • Ability to juggle multiple workstreams
  • Strong numeracy, analytical ability to analyse ROI of campaigns and strong communications skills are essential
